Carina Leite is a Nurse Practitioner at PUC since December 2019. Mrs. Leite is originally from Brazil, and she has been in the U.S. since 2006. In Brazil, Carina worked as a pharmacist for 13 years before moving to the U.S. In the U.S., she pursued her interest in nursing, graduating with her Associate’s degree in Nursing from Germanna Community College in 2013. Carina has more than six years of nursing experience in direct patient care, with a background in surgical and medical care. While working at Mary Washington Hospital, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2015. Then she completed her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse practitioner from Chamberlain University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2019. Carina is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and licensed in Virginia. She is involved in the entire continuum of care for Dr. Ansari’s patients, and you will see her in the office. She believes in developing strong relationships in providing personalized care tailored to meet each patient’s specific needs.
Carina is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Nurse Practitioners, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Virginia Council of Nursing Practitioners, and the Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing.
Carina and her husband, which are also from Brazil, reside in Fredericksburg. She enjoys leisure reading and spending her time off with her husband and three adult children. She also enjoys traveling. Carina is fluent in Portuguese and English.
